Animal Services

The City of Burden Animal Services' department provides the following assistance to all residents and is dedicated to helping protect the health, safety and welfare of both people and animals in our community.

• Responding to stray animal complaints
• Investigating dangerous animals
• Barking dog complaints
• Ordinance enforcement

    If you have any dogs 6 months old or older, they MUST have current rabies vaccinations and a City Tag ( City tags are $5/year, renewed in April of every year)

    We have a registration process on all breeds of Pitbull dogs and mix breeds that have Pitbull in them that MUST be completed, before a City Tag will be issued
